How to hard refresh your browser or clear your cache?

You may have observed that when you return to a previously visited website, it loads much faster than it did the first time. This happens because your browser saves a copy of the website on your computer. It is far faster for your browser to load the webpage locally rather than downloading it from the internet again.

Why do I need to hard refresh my browser?

When we make updates to our clients' websites, many of them realise that they can't see the changes when they visit the site.  This is because their browsers have a cached version. In this case, you must clear the cache and download the new content by hard refreshing your browser.

It's simple to do a hard refresh, and the commands differ based on the operating system and browser you're using.
